It can be seen clearly from the pie chart that significant changes have arisen in terms of the choices of college students in China these days. According to the data, we can see that nearly 48 percent of graduates choose to set up a business, occupying almost one half of the whole. Meantime, those who would like to participate in the postgraduate examination make up 20 percent and those who seek for further study abroad provide 18 percent. Then the rest of them may make some other decisions.

There are at least two favorable reasons accounting for the above phenomenon. To begin with, it is commonly believe that the rise in college graduates starting a business is the inevitable result of economic development. A study has reported that 89% of graduating students argue that they are not more financially secure than create their own company. In addition, what needs to be emphasized rather than overlooked here is that building expertise and broadening their horizons can promote future students to find a favorite job or achieve ambitions. The consequence is that an increasing number of students decide to pursue in post-education overseas and prepare for postgraduate entrance examination.

The above overall analysis reminds us that some effective initiatives must be done to improve the current situation. More importantly, the relevant agencies of educational departments are obliged to provide well-being services for their graduate students. Only by joint efforts from people of diverse social layers can the current trend be likely to move forward healthily and smoothly.
