一、细节服从主旨
细节题是阅读中出现最多的题型，但有时候不是单纯地在考细节，还需要考生结合文章主旨去看题。此外，对于有些题目中的选项来说，有时候设置得比较抽象，或者是难懂的长难句，难解其意，又或者排除两个，在剩下的两个之间举棋不定，这种时候往往就需要用到一个最为核心的解题原则，就是“细节服从主旨”。因为细节终究还是局部的，如果与主旨相违背，哪怕本身并没错，也往往不是正确答案。
二、真题实例：
我们通过一个英语真题实例来看这一原则的具体运用：
Why, then, are virtually all of these critics forgotten? Neville Cardus, who wrote for the Manchester Guardian from 1917 until shortly before his death in 1975, is now known solely as a writer of essays on the game of cricket. During his lifetime, though, he was also one of England’s foremost classical-music critics, a stylist so widely admired that his Autobiography (1947) became a best-seller. He was knighted in 1967, the first music critic to be so honored. Yet only one of his books is now in print, and his vast body of writings on music is unknown save to specialists.
